How Our Upskilling Model Works
1. The Planning Stage (Once candidate is selected)
Scope & success plan (Pre-onboarding): define role outcomes, skill gaps, time commitment, and budget.
2. The Commitment
We offer three tracks: Light (Up to 5 hrs/week), Standard (8–12 hrs/week), and Intensive (20–30 hrs/week). The actual time commitment depends on the specific upskilling service from our training providers—for example, certifications, coaching, and classes all have different lengths and requirements. We align the track with the expectations of both the business and the candidate, ensuring that the level of training is realistic and effective for the role.
3. Payments (From client and from us for Upskilling)
All candidates are placed as either direct-hire W2 employees of your company or under a contract-to-hire arrangement, depending on your needs. We charge a flat, one-time placement fee invoiced at the start date. Once the placement fee is received, we cover the cost of all upskilling services included in the first 90 days. Upskilling is included in the placement fee, so there are no additional costs!
4. The 90-Day Upskilling Focus
Each hire receives a tailored blend of role-specific courses, hands-on labs, and 1:1 coaching (covering leadership, language, or technical tools). If a program extends beyond 90 days, we ensure it’s fully paid so candidates can finish worry-free—no interruptions, just completion and impact.
5. Performance Checks and Feedback
Performance reviews: 30/60/90-day checkpoints tied to the success plan. We want to make sure your placements are being fully supported and getting the most out of our upskilling model.

Who pays the employee’s salary?
At Simple Hire, every hire is placed as either a direct-hire W2 employee of your company or through a contract-to-hire arrangement when that makes sense for the role. We don’t use staffing pools, temp agencies, or third-party payroll services. Unlike many agencies, our model is simple: direct placements only. This ensures every candidate joins your team with a clear path, aligned with your company’s culture and long-term goals.
How many hours per week is training?
We offer three training tracks—Light (up to 5 hours/week), Standard (8–12 hours/week), and Intensive (20–30 hours/week). Some certifications, like AWS Security, may require full-time study blocks. To keep things successful for both sides, we only present candidates who are fully aligned with the agreed track and ready to commit to that level of training.
Where does training happen?
Training is designed to be as flexible and remote-friendly as possible. Most programs are delivered online through asynchronous coursework, hands-on labs, and live coaching with our training vendors. For those who prefer more interaction, we also provide optional hybrid sessions after hours. We work to minimize calendar load during critical work weeks so training supports performance, not disrupts it.
Can we get bilingual or near-shore options?
Yes. We recruit English, Spanish, or bilingual talent, and we can target same-time-zone near-shore markets. If the role is internal-facing, we often pair onboarding with Business English coaching to accelerate clarity and collaboration.
How much does Simple Hire cost compared to traditional agencies?
We use a straightforward flat, one-time placement fee due on the first day of hire. Unlike many agencies, this fee already includes 90 days of tailored upskilling and coaching. That means you’re not just paying for a hire—you’re investing in an employee who ramps up faster, stays longer, and delivers stronger results. No hidden costs, no surprise training add-ons—just a clear, upfront investment in long-term talent.
What if the hire doesn’t work out during the first 90 days?
We stand behind every placement. If a hire leaves or isn’t the right fit within the first 90 days, we provide a free replacement. We also take on the loss for any paid upskilling already invested in that hire—those training costs are covered by us and carried forward to the next candidate(s) at no additional charge. This comes out of our own operational costs, because our model is built for long-term success, not short-term wins. By investing in both the match and the training, we dramatically reduce turnover risk and give your team confidence in every hire.
